The more challenging techniques are taught by lecture and demonstration in class, with video and book for reference at home. You’ll be able to stop, watch and do - actually bring Susan home with you! Bring scissors to class.
Skill level: No sewing experience necessary, but it will help a bit. No previous knowledge of upholstery

We solved that problem by combining a one night class in which I cover the most important aspects of slip covering. With the one-hour professional video, and a book - YOU GET TO TAKE ME HOME WITH YOU!

The big surprise for our hands-on project is how easy it is to make one full length piece of bias strip that stretches 36 yards long, from only one yard of fabric. If you've ever tried even a small project you know how frustrating it is to make bias strips of bias fabric. Everyone's usually gasping! I'm told quilters would love this tip.

Q. Do we make a sample pattern first before I make my slipcover?
A. Absolutely not. Slipcovers are enough work. You're not going to make one that doesn't count!
Q. Is this a hard job?
A. It is a big job, so tackle it in bits. However, it is not technically hard if you follow the video step by step. The methodology is set up so that you fit as you to. It is virtually IMPOSSIBLE for you to finish your slipcover and find that it didn't turn out.
Q. What will my first slipcover look like?
A. You’re first project will be custom quality in its finish. The last thing you want is a home-made product!
