What Susan has to say
"I guess you could say I get pretty sentimental about family photos. However, when I started looking through mine, I was surprised at how many of my "growing up" pictures weren't appropriate for my projects. Like almost every other family in the fifties and sixties, we used a Kodak Brownie Camera. My parents weren't the savviest photographers - my siblings and are were about 1" high, our faces can barely be seen, and we're usually lined up in front of the family car year after year!
As I started experimenting with enlarging my pictures I was pleasantly surprised at how those boring photos came to life. Kodak Brownie camera film, like other camera film used in an earlier era, seems to have had the ability to perfectly capture details like facial expressions. We just couldn't appreciate them before because they were so small! Enlarging actually enhanced the looks and didn't make them grainy. I'm excited to share the easy-to-copy tips I came up with for enhancing your family photography.
I'd never take a course or buy a book on hand-tinting because I can't paint or draw at all! I'm definitely an 'out of the box' thinker. I experimented with 'Delta Soft Tints', which were never designed for hand tinting. Yet,, I got almost instant results that were so professional looking. Beyond the beauty of the tinting effect, I was pleasantly surprised to see how a bit of tinting could bring obscure pictures to life. I brought out details I'd never even seen before! You'll love the easy technique. Click for information on the "Tints".

"I love the fact that so many the projects are so easy, especially the copy cat ones where I learned the easy versions of traditionally harder projects"
Leanne Thomson-Hanes
"I am appreciating my family photos in a whole new way. I can't believe the details that were lost for years that I was able to bring to life"
Jan Meyers
I just wanted to send you pictures of a gift bag that I did for my great-niece. Some how I couldn't resist adding the pink ribbon...this is the 2nd bag/project I've done since taking the picture perfect class...
